Masonry Course Description

The Masonry course is designed to equip trainees with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the construction and building industry. The course focuses on the use of materials such as bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and mortar to construct durable structures.

Trainees are introduced to basic and advanced masonry techniques including site preparation, setting out, foundation construction, walling, plastering, and finishing. The course also emphasizes proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, interpretation of building drawings, and adherence to safety standards.

Learners gain hands-on experience in constructing walls, pillars, pavements, and other structural components while applying accurate measurements and alignment techniques. The training also covers mixing of mortar and concrete, reinforcement methods, and repair and maintenance of masonry structures.

Upon completion, trainees are expected to demonstrate competence in carrying out masonry tasks independently, ensuring quality workmanship, efficiency, and compliance with construction regulations. The course prepares learners for employment
